Sierra Leone U-20 Female National Team Begins Training for WAFU U-20 Tournament

The Sierra Leone U-20 Female National Team has today Monday, May 13th commenced preparations for the upcoming West African Football Union (WAFU) U-20 Female Tournament in Senegal with their first training session at the SLFA Academy. Head Coach Fatmata Turay expressed optimism about the team’s performance, citing confidence in their ability to excel in the tournament.

Coach Turay highlighted the selection of 20 talented players from various clubs to represent Sierra Leone in the competition. The team is set to undergo rigorous training and preparations in the lead-up to the tournament, scheduled to take place from June 20th to June 30th this year.

The squad is eager to make a mark on the regional stage and showcase’s the growing talent in Sierra Leonean women’s football. The SLFA is fully supportive of the team’s efforts and is confident in their ability to compete at the highest level.
