The home-based delegation of the Sierra Leone National Senior Men’s Team, Leone Stars, arrived safely in Monrovia, Liberia, yesterday evening. Their arrival marks the beginning of preparations for the highly anticipated Total Energies 2025 AFCON Qualifiers match against Chad, scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2024. The team is currently settled at the Boulevard Palace in Monrovia.
The delegation is led by Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, the Director of Competition, who is serving as the team administrator. Accompanying him are Mohamed Bowen Freeman, the Safety and Security Officer, Head Coach Amidu Karim, his backroom staff, and eight home-based players.
Seventeen foreign-based players are expected to join the squad later today as the team gears up for their first full training session this evening at the SK D Stadium.
