SLFACompletes FIFA MA Course for Youth Referees in Bo City
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) proudly announces the successful completion of the FIFA MA Course for Youth Referees in Bo City. The course, which concluded today Sunday, June 23, saw the participation of 35 young boys and girls from across the nation, all eager to advance their skills and knowledge under the esteemed guidance of FIFA Instructors.
The course was conducted by FIFA Referees Senior Instructor, Celestine Ntagungira, who emphasized the importance of applying the imparted knowledge impartially. Ntagungira expressed confidence in the participants, highlighting that “they are the future referees FIFA anticipates officiating significant matches globally”.
Yayah Mansaray, the Secretary General of the Southern Region, represented the SLFA at the event. In his address, Mansaray expressed gratitude to the facilitators for their dedication and effort in educating the young referees. He encouraged the participants to utilize their newly acquired skills and assured them of more such courses in the future to further enhance the development of young referees in Sierra Leone.
The successful completion of this course marks a significant step in the SLFA’s ongoing efforts to develop and professionalize refereeing in Sierra Leone, ensuring that the future of football officiating in the country is in capable hands.
