SLFA Engages Secretaries and Competition Officers from District and Regional FAs in Preparation for the National Football Leagues
The Sierra Leone Football Association has today Wednesday November 1st successfully engaged Secretaries and Competition Officers from Districts and Regional Football Associations in a round table discussion to set a proper stage for the maiden 2023/24 National Youth Leagues and the Division 1 and 2 male and the maiden Division 1 female leagues.
The deliberations were presided over by the Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Technical Director Ibrahim Bah and Director of Competitions Sorie Ibrahim Sesay who provided technical expertise in developing concise roadmap and playing format for the upcoming competitions.
In his submission, the Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh said that SLFA is set to roll out quality youth football competitions across the country in both male and female categories, which he said “is part of the association’s strides to revitalize grassroots football across the country”.
The youth competitions will feature U-12 and U-14 categories for boys, and U-15 and U-17 for girls.
Registration of participating clubs and other pre tournament arrangements have been scheduled to take place between November 15th and 30th, 2023 to ensure the commencement of the competitions in the first week of December this year.
