SLFA MOURNS WITH GRIEVING KALLON FAMILY

The Vice President 1- Mr. Brima Mazola Kamara together with a cross section of the  staff of the Sierra Leone Football Association today mourned and showed solidarity with the Kallon family in the laying out ceremony of their late mother Madam Haja Mariama Kallon,  at Jormu village, off Kenema City. 

 
Hundreds of fans, coaches and administrators of football were present at the home of the Kallon family to pay their final respect to the late Mother of arguably the most popular trio (Musa Kallon, Kemokai Kallon and Mohamed Kallon) in Sierra Leone football. 
 
Presenting the condolence gesture on behalf of SLFA, VP 1 Mr. Brima Mazola Kamara said the Football Association is deeply saddened by the death of the Kallons’ mother. ”Madam Haja Mariama Kallon  gave Sierra Leone and the entire world three football legends who have made an immense contribution in diverse ways, to beautify the game we are all enjoying today.” Mr. Kamara said. ”for that, as a federation and as a Nation, we shall always remain grateful to her and the entire Kallon family.” ”Indeed a great football heroine has fallen.” He added.
 
Speaking on behalf of the Kallons, the eldest of the trio- Musa Kallon thanked the President, Executive Committee, Management and Staff of the Sierra Leone Football Association for ”taking time to show us gratitude and solidarity particularly in this time of grief.” ”It shows how much the FA appreciates our little efforts in the development of the country’s most cherished game. On behalf of my siblings and the entire Kallon family, please know that we are highly appreciative of this.”
