Sierra Leone Female U20 Prepares to Host Senegal in World Cup Qualifier

Sierra Leone National under 20 Female Football team prepares to host their Senegalese counterparts in the FIFA U20 World Cup Preliminarily Qualifiers on Saturday the 18th January 2020 at the Bo City Stadium, Southern Sierra Leone.

Players selected from across the country have been on intensive training in the past weeks at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy in Freetown ahead of their home and away matches on the 18th and 31st January respectively.

Twenty two players have been selected out of the lot for the first leg match in Bo.

Alhaji Foray (Abedi) the Head Coach said “these selected young girls were chosen strictly based on their performance during training.” "We've engaged these girls on both tactical and physical training for over a month now which helped us secure a 2 nil victory in an international friendly against Liberia U20 in December last year.” Coach Foray added.

He concluded by stating that “with this level of preparedness and the present form of the team, Sierra Leone is sure to get a pleasant result against Senegal.”

The team will have its final training session in Freetown tomorrow morning and will depart for Bo City on Tuesday January 14, 2020 where they shall continue training until match day.
