Delegates from the Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) have unanimously detached themselves from the resolution announced by “some members of the Sierra Leone Football Association” and strongly assert their support for FIFA’s decision on the current state of affairs surrounding the SLFA.
“We completely distance ourselves from the resolutions circulated by some members of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) at a press conference held in Freetown on August 4, 2017,” the NRFA Chairman, Brima Jalloh asserted.
A statement signed by all nine delegates in the NRFA stated that the region fully accept FIFA’s position with regards conducting the integrity checks on potential SLFA delegates.
“In line with FIFA’s directives, we shall continue to recognize and cooperate with the current SLFA EXCO with Madam Isha Johansen as president.
“Taking note of the above, we strongly urge the SLFA Executive Committee to put modalities in place to kick start the National and Premier League soonest,” the NRFA statement said.
Few days ago, delegates from the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) dissociated themselves from the resolution and strongly declare their support for FIFA’s decision to implement the integrity test to its fullest.
