Tens of key Stakeholders have today Tuesday June 27 tuned up at the Football secretariat in Freetown as SLFA opens the book of condolence in honor of the late Nahim Khadi- former President of the Sierra Leone Football Association.
SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima, Vice President 1 Harold Nat-Johnson, Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh, and Western Area Football Association Chairman Rev. Philip Buck were part of the ceremony and shared their condolences in the book.
Also present were other reputable football personalities including, Premier League Club Eastern Tigers Chairman Victor Lewis, Sierra Leone Homebased Team Manager Amadu Bah, Former National Team player Mohamed “Medo” Fornah and Leone Stars’ Head Coach John Kiester with a cross section of his back-room staff.
Addressing the attendees after the signing of the book, Vice President 1 Harold Nat-Johnson thanked everyone “for taking time in this crucial period of the country’s National Elections to come out and share your heartfelt condolences”.
He furthered that, “Nahim Khadi was a great football icon who diligently served this nation both as a player and an ambassador. His role in the development of Sierra Leone football will forever be remembered.”
Khadi passed away on Tuesday June 13th, 2023 and his body has been laid to rest in London where his sad event took place.
