President Bio Backs New SLFA Leadership, Applauds Corporate Outreach
The newly elected Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President, ๐๐๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐, has received a strong vote of confidence from ๐๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ซ (๐๐ญ๐.) ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐จ, who today pledged his governmentโs full support for football development and commended Mr. Kamara for already engaging corporate institutions in the drive to boost the game.
The SLFA delegation, which included Vice President 1 ๐๐ฅ๐ข ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ and other Executive Committee members, was led to State House in Freetown by the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ข, and the Minister of Sports, ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ-๐๐๐ข๐ฆ๐.
During the courtesy visit, the NSA boss formally presented the new SLFA leadership to President Bio. Mr. Kamara expressed gratitude for the Presidentโs warm reception and the governmentโs continued support to football. He described his executive as the most nationally inclusive in SLFA history, with representation from every region, and highlighted his record-breaking victory as the most popular SLFA President to date.
Pledging close collaboration with the NSA and Ministry of Sports, Mr. Kamara assured that all support from government and other partners would be used strictly for its intended purposes. He also revealed that outreach to corporate institutions is already underway to secure additional backing for football development.
President Bio congratulated the new SLFA leadership on their election and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the game at all levelsโparticularly the national teams and the Sierra Leone Premier League. He stressed that football growth will help nurture talent, create youth employment, and foster national unity, while applauding President Babadi for his corporate engagement efforts, noting that government cannot do it alone.
