SLFA’s Daniel A. Conteh Represents Sierra Leone at FIFA Coach Education Workshop
Daniel A. Conteh, Head of Coach Education and Talents Development Scheme at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), attended the FIFA Coach Education Leaders’ Exchange Knowledge Workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 16-19, 2024. The event brought together 17 participants from across Africa to enhance the development of football coaching.
Led by Mohamed Basir, Head of FIFA’s Senior Manager Coaching Development Department, the workshop focused on understanding the role of Member Association Coach Education Leaders, exchanging best practices, and building strategic plans for coach development. Basir encouraged participants to implement what they learned, highlighting the importance of coach development for the growth of football.
Conteh’s involvement reflects SLFA’s commitment to raising coaching standards and developing local talent. The insights gained from the workshop are expected to strengthen SLFA’s coach education framework, supporting the long-term growth of football in Sierra Leone.
