Update on SLFA Artificial Turf Projects
Work has intensified in all four sites- SLFA Academy, Approved School Playing Field, Port Loko Town Field, and Bo Coronation Field as the Netherlands based contractors (Edel Grass) are keen to meet with the set completion date in June 2024.
bout seven containers fully loaded with working equipment have landed at the Port Loko site and more are expected to arrive in a few days at the Queen Elizabeth the 2nd Quay for delivery at the other sites.
The construction of these standard artificial turf playing facilities under the leadership of Thomas Daddy Brima will invariably be a massive boost in the infrastructural development of the country’s football.
Also part of this projects is to give a facelift and standardize the Koidu Town field and Kenema Town field with the installation of floodlights and a perimeter fence.
