Last Friday, the Sierra Leone U-20 Women moved to camp to gear-up for the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier back to back tie against their Guinean counterparts.
The team consisting of 25 players plus officials moved to camp to continue training, on Sunday, September 12 held their first training at the Bo Stadium located in the Southern part of Sierra Leone
Guided by a team of renowned technicians headed by the former Women’s Senior National team and Sierra Leone men’s top-tier side East End Tigers coach Victoria Conteh as Head Coach, last July invited 42 players to camp for trial and eventually reduced the number to a final squad of 25 players that have engaged on friendly matches in Port Loko and Makeni respectively.

According to the local football federation (SLFA), the team will travel to Guinea in the next two weeks to face their Guinean counterparts in their first leg match in the qualifiers which will be played on Saturday, 25th September and on October 9, 2021 lock horns at home in the return leg.
The motivated Sierra Leone girls will rally against Guinea in the second round of five for a spot to represent Africa along with one other in the 2022 FIFA Women’s U-20 tournament to take place in Costa Rica
