CAF Invites Acting President to 12th Extraordinary Congress

Acting President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mr Brima Mazola Kamara has been invited by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to its 12th Extraordinary General Assembly due for Sunday, 30 September 2018 at the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh, which is about 500 kilometres from the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The former Sierra Leone international, who was the first to play professional football outside Sierra Leone, left Freetown on Thursday, September 27 and is expected to be in the ‘City of Peace’  this evening (Friday, September 28). 

SLFA Mourns Young Referee; Victor Foday Marah

It is with great sadness and grief that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has been informed that Victor Foday Marah has on Tuesday 25th September, passed away.
According to reports reaching the SLFA, the late Referee Marah collapsed while officiating a community league match at the Kingtom K-Tee Field and was rushed to the Connaught Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Victor Foday Marah was an intermediate football referee trained in Freetown by the Western Area Football Referees Association (WAFRA).

Arsenal Invites 2 for English FA Certificate Course in London

Two Youth Football Coaches, Daniel Abdel Conteh and Dauda Kargbo have been nominated by the Technical Department of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to attend a 2-week intensive Coach Education Training and the England FA Level 1 Certificate in football coaching, courtesy of the North London Premier League Club, Arsenal.

This is as a result of the SLFA President; Madam Isha Johansen’s lobbying to the international football community to come to the aid of Sierra Leone and help build the capacity of coaches, administrators and sports journalists in the country.
