The Sierra Leone Premier League Board in a meeting with Premier League Clubs yesterday the 15th November at the SLFA secretariat, Kingtom, has agreed to officially commence the 2019/20 League Season on Wednesday December 4 this year.

Speaking on the issue of seed monies, the PLB Chairman Lawyer Allieu Vandi Koroma did not give an exact amount of what will be paid to each of the fourteen (14) clubs but assured them that ”it will be an amount substantially higher than what clubs benefited in the last league.”

The PLB donated ten (10) original footballs to each club by way of supporting them in their training sessions ahead of the commencement of the league. It was a well-attended meeting with all fourteen (14) Premier League clubs represented and they all expressed the will and readiness to fully participate in the upcoming season.
