Captain of the national home based team, Yeami Dunia has disclosed that they are well prepared to face their Nigerian counterpart on Monday evening in the second match of the day in the Knockout stages of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) tournament in Takoradi, Ghana.
The versatile defender pointed out that this will be the first time that most of them in the squad will have the opportunity to play against their Nigerian counterpart and as such "the challenge will be welcoming to me and my teammates".
"The technical team has done their best over the past few weeks to get both our physical and Mental attitude right and it is left with us to show respect to them by delivering positively on the pitch," Yeami Dunia said.
He added that they are aware of the fact that the encounter is going to be tough as the opponent has got a very big squad with competitive local league but also expressed optimism that they will come out victorious.
"I see us in a better position to eliminate the Nigerians due to the fact that we've been together for a while," the skipper said.
He assured of winning the match and appealed to all Sierra Leoneans to continue giving their unflinching support to the national team.
