The Sierra Leone Football Association has today officially commenced a two-week License ‘C’ Coaching Course for Ex-players and grassroots coaches at the SLFA Secretariat Kingtom Freetown.
The opening ceremony was witnessed by the General Secretary Mr. Christopher Kamara, the Technical Director Mr. John Jebor Sherrington and the Vice President 1 Mr. Brima Mazola Kamara who doubles as the Chairman of the SLFA Technical Committee.
In his statement at the opening ceremony, the General Secretary Mr. Christopher Kamara encouraged all participants to take the course *“very seriously,”* adding that *“the growth and development of the country’s young stars largely depends on the upcoming coaches”.*
*“I duff my hat to all Ex players who’ve come to participate in this training course. The Ex players are the true legends of Sierra Leone Football and the Federation would like to see more and more of them continuing to serve as coaches.”* The General Secretary added.
Declaring the training course open, the Vice President 1 of SLFA Mr. Brima Mazola Kamara urged the hundred participants to continue to be *“determined and remain focused”* in pursuing their coaching career to achieve not just License C but B and A Licenses. *“As a federation we shall continue to conduct more courses at different levels to uplift the standard of our coaches.”* The VP 1 assured the participants.
The 14-day training course will end with a certification ceremony on the 7th January, 2020.
